Cancellation of Reservations:
Reservations are subject to cancellation if you are not checked-in and available for boarding,at the boarding gate. at least 20 minutes prior to departure for flights between U.S points.20 minutes to/from Canada/Mexico and the Caribbean,and,30 minutes to/from all other international points.
Please cancel your reservation if there is a change in your travel plans,Failure to cancel a confirmed booking may result in automatic cancellation of you entire ininerary.
Seat Assignments:
All seat assignments are subject to release and reassignment if not claimed:
US points other than Hawaii by 20 minutes prior to departure.
Canada,Hawaii,Mexico and Caribbean by 30 minutes prior to departure.
International by 45 minutes prior to departure.
Documentation and Check-in:
*International destinations require specific documentation such as passports,visa,proof of citizenship.please contace United reservations for country requirements.it is the customer's responsibility to obtain and have possession of all required travel documents.
*For domestic travel.United recommends that you arrive at least 90 minutes prior to departure if you have baggage to check and 60 minutes prior to departure if you are not checking bags.For international travel.arrive at least two hours prior to departure.Additional time may be required during holiday and other peak travel times.
*TSA Security Directives require each customer to check in before going through the security screening checkpoint at most airport.Eventually,this will be a requirement at all airport in the US.
*Customers may check in using United's EasyCheck-in Online.EasyCheck-in klosks(where available)EasyCheck-in cuibside with Skycaps at select airports,or with a United Customer Service Representative.(Not available in China)
Baggage Information and Tips:
Free Bag Allowance:
* Two pieces of checked baggage are permitted free of charge provided they meet the following size and the weight limitations:
-Largest bag may not exceed 62 linear inches and 50 pounds(23kg) domestically and internationally.
-Linear inches are determined by adding the outside length plus width plus height.
*Free baggage allowance.restrictions,and charges for excess.oversize or overweight pieces very depending upon flight itinerary Contace United for specific information.
Carry-On Baggage:
*Carry-on baggage must fit under the seat or be stowed in an approved compartment or overhead bin.United's worldwide carry-on policy is one bag plus one personal item such as a purse,briefcase or laptop computer.
*Carry-on baggage may not exceed the outside dimensions of 9 inches by 14 inches by 22 inches (maximum 45 linear inches)
Prohibited Items:
* No knives of any size.cutting instruments of any kind,nor other sharp/dangerous objects are permitted in carry-on baggage.allowed into the cabin of the aircraft or beyond the security screening checkpoint.
*最新的规定还有打火机不可以随身携带，但是可以把气儿放了然后托运。
*中国安检不允许随身携带酒或者含有酒精的制品，如果有必须托运。
Baggage Tips:
*For your security ,the TSA is screening all checked baggage.Unlocked bag can be examined quickly.Locked bags will be opened if necessary.then resealed.That process could result in delay or damage.You can find further information on the TSA website:www.TSATravelTips.US
*Checked baggage must have the customer's name on the outside of the bag.We also recommend that you place your name and address inside your baggage.
*Valuable items,as well as medications or prescriptions.should be carried personally by you.
*Claim your baggage immediately upon arrival.
*Baggage is designed to protect the contents.Scratches,nicks or dirt may appear despite care in handling.United does not assume liablity for normal wear and tear to baggage which includes damage to or loss of protruding baggage parts.such as strape,pockets.pull handles,hangar hooks,sheels and feet.or other items attached to the baggage as well as damage to oversized/overpacked bags.
*United's liability for baggage loss,damage or delays is not to exceed $2,800 per fare paying customer domestically and internationally under the Warsaw Convention.approx $635 per piece of checked baggage not to exceed two pieces and under the Montreal Convention ,approx.$1,375 per fare paying customer.
*Additional liability coverage can be purchased for certain items.Fragile or perishable items will be checked only at your own risk.
*United is not responsible for cameras,VCRs.computers and any other electronic equipment or components,Jewelry,cash or other similar valuable items contained in checked or unchecked baggage.
Dangerous Goods:
* For safety reasons,dangerous goods may not be packed in checked or carry-on baggage or taken on board with you.Restricted articles include.but are not limited to:acid,matches,lighter,lighter fluid,explosives,flammable solids/liquids,oxidizing materials,corrosive material,compressed gases,poisons,etiologic agents,radioactive materials.irritating or incapacitating sprays,mercury or noxious materials,and briefcases and attache cases with intalled alarm devices.
Firearms:
*Federal Regulations require that firearms in checked baggage(not allowed in carry-on) be unloaded and declared.
